Mykey from ford is like having your mom in the car.

My key, a new type of key from ford puts a limit on your speed. With Mykey, your car will not be able to go over 80mph. Also it beeps and lets you know when you do not have your seatbelt on. Now if you have this key, and your parents know how to use the thing, your parents can check to see if you wear your seatbelt and, they can limit your volume, so you can not rock out on the way to school. Although it may not make you as happy, this will hopefully save lives of others.

  1. That is interesting because it shows how far technology has come in cars. It could be quite controling if your parents did that to you, but if alot of young drivers or old drivers did this maybe it would make you think about your driving and you could save not only someone else's life, but your own by putting on your seatbelt.

  3. This is different. Only parents would want to buy it for their kids. I don't see how kids would like it.

  4. Hmmmm well this is a good idea and will keep people safe but I think it would get really annoying sometimes.. especially the volume control part

  5. Wow! This is genius! I bet a parent invented it. It is crazy how much technology can detect. In this case it can even tell if you wear your seatbelt. Its kind of like a robot!

  6. It is neat that cars can actually control the speed and remind you to buckle your seatbelt. This might end up preventing wrecks, even if it is annoying for the kids.

  7. This is so cool. Not that I want MY mom to use this on my car, but it is still a really neat way of keeping track of your kids. This technology is AMAZING. I don't want my mom and dad always knowing exactly what I'm doing and we all break the rules, but I guess this is just a very good safety tool for parents.
